⚙️ Getting Connected

🎮

Install FiveM

Download FiveM from fivem.net and install it. You'll need a legitimate copy of GTA V — FiveM does not work with pirated versions.

🔗

Connect to the Server

Open FiveM, hit F8 to open the console and type connect cfx.re/join/lq7kyo — or search Living Legends Roleplay in the server browser.

🎙️

Set Up Voice Chat

We use proximity voice chat. Make sure your mic is working before you spawn in. Default push-to-talk key is N. Adjust sensitivity in your FiveM audio settings.

💬

Join Our Discord

The Discord is where everything happens — announcements, support tickets, applications, and community. Link is on the Join page. Get in there.

🏙️ First Steps in the City

🧬

Create Your Character

When you first spawn, you'll go through character creation. Pick your name, appearance, and backstory. This is your identity in the city — put some thought into it.

🏦

Open a Bank Account

Head to a bank or ATM to set up your account. You'll need it to receive job payments, store money safely, and pay for services around the city.

📱

Learn Your Phone

Press M to open your phone. It's how you access jobs, contacts, banking, and more. Spend a few minutes getting familiar with it before anything else.

🚗

Get Your First Vehicle

During the 90-day promo, you can get a free vehicle import after 10 hours in the city. Until then, check the job center — many starter jobs provide vehicles.

💼

Find a Job

Head to the Job Center (marked on your map) to pick up a starter job. Trucking, delivery, and labor jobs are great for new players. Check our Jobs page for the full list.

🗺️

Explore the Map

Los Santos has a lot going on. Hit ESC → Map to view blips. Don't be afraid to drive around, introduce yourself, and get a feel for the city's layout and people.

📋 Core Rules to Know

These are the rules that catch new players out most often. Read every single one. Full rules are on the Rules page.

🧠

Stay In Character (IC)

Once you're in the city, you're your character. Don't break the fourth wall. OOC (out of character) talk belongs in Discord, not in-game chat or voice. If something goes wrong in RP, play it out — then open a ticket if needed.

💀

New Life Rule (NLR)

If your character dies, you forget everything that led to your death. You cannot return to the scene, seek revenge, or use information your character wouldn't know. Full details on the NLR page.

🚫

No RDM or VDM

RDM = Random Deathmatch — killing someone without valid RP reason. VDM = Vehicle Deathmatch — using your car as a weapon. Both are bannable offenses. Every action needs a legitimate RP justification.

🎭

No Metagaming

Don't use information your character couldn't realistically know — like Discord messages, stream info, or things said OOC. Your character only knows what they've learned in-city through RP.

⚖️

No Powergaming

Don't force actions on other players or perform things your character realistically couldn't do. Give others a fair chance to respond and react to your RP. Roleplay is collaborative, not competitive.

🔫

Value Your Life

Act like your character values their own life. Don't make suicidal decisions — like pulling a gun on 5 armed people or running from police when surrounded. Realistic fear matters.

🚨

Don't Cop Bait

Don't deliberately provoke law enforcement just to start a chase or cause chaos without a genuine IC reason. Cop baiting is not a RP style — it's a rule violation.

📞

Tickets Over Drama

If someone broke a rule, open a ticket in Discord — don't argue in-game or in public channels. Staff handles reports properly. Bringing drama into public chats is itself a punishable offense.

⚠️

Ignorance of the rules is not a defense. Staff won't reduce punishments because you "didn't know." Read the rules. Check the Bannable Offenses page so you know exactly where the hard lines are.

💰 Jobs & Making Money

🚛

Trucking & Delivery

One of the best starter jobs. Pick up cargo, deliver it across the map, get paid. Good money, low risk, no whitelist needed. Great way to learn the roads.

🔧

Mechanic

Repair vehicles for other players. Whitelisted role with steady work — players always need mechanic RP. Check the jobs page to apply.

🌿

Hunting & Farming

Head out into the county for hunting or farming work. Great for players who want a low-key, rural lifestyle while building up cash.

🏪

Player-Owned Businesses

Once you're established, you can work at or eventually open your own business. Requires 2 players and staying open 4/7 days. Check the jobs page for details.

🚔

Law Enforcement (LSPD / Sheriff)

Whitelisted. Apply through Discord. Requires good standing, solid RP, and commitment. Not a starter role — get some hours in the city first.

🚑

EMS

Whitelisted medical roleplay. Revive players, run scenes, work the hospital. Apply through Discord. High-demand and highly respected role in the community.

💡

During our 90-Day Launch Promo, free vehicle, clothing, tattoo, and weapon imports are available based on your playtime. Check the Promo page for details and hour requirements.

🔥 Orgs & Gangs

Want to start or join a gang or organization? Here's the full path — requirements, process, and rules.

1

Build Your Crew

You need a minimum of 4 members to form a gang or organization. These need to be active, committed players — not alts or friends who log in once a week.

2

Develop Your Story

Orgs don't just appear. Build your backstory in the city first. Who are you? What do you stand for? Where do you operate? Staff will want to see RP foundation before approving a whitelist.

3

Submit a Whitelist Application

Open a ticket in Discord and submit your org whitelist application. Include your org name, members, backstory, and intended RP direction. Staff will review and respond.

4

10-Day Wait Period

Once your whitelist is accepted, there is a 10-day wait period before your org can engage in warfare with another org. Use that time to establish your presence and build your story — not to immediately go to war.

5

Maintain Active Membership

You must keep at least 3 active members at all times to remain a recognized org. There is a 10-day grace period if you drop below — use it to recruit back up or the org status may be revoked.

6

Follow the Escalation Ladder

Org conflict must escalate properly: 1st — Fists. 2nd — Melee. 3rd — All weapons. 4th — On sight/Active war. Skipping steps is a rule violation. See Criminal Rules for full details.

🎁

During the promo: 7+ gang members = FREE weapon import for your org. Build that roster and claim it through a Discord ticket.

🆘 Getting Help

🎫

Open a Ticket

For all support, reports, applications, and issues — open a ticket in the Discord. Don't DM staff directly. Tickets are tracked and handled fairly.

👥

Talk to Staff In-City

You can flag staff in-game for general questions. However, anything that needs a formal response — reports, ban appeals, whitelist requests — must go through a Discord ticket.

📖

Check the Rules First

Before opening a ticket, check the Rules page. Most questions are already answered there. Staff appreciate players who read before asking.
